Sharad Kohli & Urmimala Nag

Sharad Kohli realised early on that he would never be as musically talented as Tansen, so is happy to settle for a life of enjoying Hindustani classical music. He is drawn to nature, travels where his heart (and, occasionally, his mind) takes him and follows sport with an often childlike wonder. He is a journalist by profession and 'The Story of Tansen' is his first book for children.

Urmimala Nag is a graduate of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Having started doodling at the age of two, she refuses to call it quits. Conjuring up characters and countries through her illustrations and maps, she likes to capture and enhance the beauty of narratives and journeys. She has illustrated 'The Story of Babur'.
